A great line-up of live music is promised at a two-day live music festival set to take place on the outksirts of Highbridge this May Bank Holiday weekend.

Summerset Live will take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May at the Oaktree Arena.

The event will showcase some of the great local musical talent in the south west while helping local charities.

The acts playing on the Saturday include Firekind (pictured) who were recently crowned global Battle of the Bands winners 2014, Sun Dog Days, The Man From Funkle, The Fallen Apples, The Leylines, Vermin, Ronin, The Thatchers, Microlight and King Tuts Revenge.

On Sunday the action continues with Corin Hughes, Tim Fardon, Ed K-T, The Talk Show Hosts, Empire of Fools, The Stanleys, The Somerset Paddies, The Mangled Wurzels, Ltd Edition, Oas-is, Shoot The Moon and Snappa.

Organiser Jordan Jones told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Summerset Live is the best line-up of local musical talent in the South West this year! A jaw dropping line-up of 22 bands and artistes will descend onto the stage for a Bank Holiday weekend to remember.”

“Everything is shaping up for a fantastic weekend. Ticket sales are going very well and we remind people that advanced tickets are still available from the website here. Advanced tickets will work out slightly cheaper than buying your tickets on the day so it makes sense to buy in advance.”

“We have some unbelievably talented bands and artistes line-up up over the two days. I suspect a lot have heard of the likes of Snappa and The Talk Show Hosts and there are probably some groups who some people may not have heard of such as Shoot the Moon, who are a must-see SKA band. And Firekind are a must-see, having just signed a record deal after winning Global Battle of the Bands.”

He added: “We do however have a lot more on offer than the music. We will see a colour-filled Festival Market pitch up with an array of goodies up for grabs, a mouth-watering Food Village, Fairground Side Stalls, Inflatables, Music Workshops and so much more. So if you have not got plans for this weekend gather all your friends up and come down and see us for a weekend you won’t forget in a hurry.”

A Weekend Festival Ticket costs £20 and a Weekend Festival and Camping Ticket is just £25 in advance.
