Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station is seeking to recruit a replacement Lifeboats Visits Officer.

The successful candidate for this role will help to promote the work of Burnham RNLI station to the local community and holidaymakers, helping to raise awareness and generate funds.

He or she will be responsible for organising visits to the lifeboat station, going into schools and community groups to talk about the RNLI, and organising various educational events in liaison with the lifeboat operations crew and fundraising team members.

Burnham-on-Sea RNLI spokesman Mike Lang said: “Our present visits officer has reluctantly stepped down after a positive contribution over a number of years and will be sadly missed. This is an exciting role to take up.”

The role is has a flexible time commitment, between 2 and 10 hours per week, dependant upon the time of year. For more information about the role, call 07889 815860.
