A popular quiz night held at a Burnham-On-Sea pub on Wednesday night (April 9th) raised funds to mark Parkinson’s Awareness Week.

Over 30 people attended the special fundraising event at the Dunstan House in Love Lane where £170 was raised for Frenchay Hospital to support their research into a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

“We are very grateful to the Dunstan House for holding this event and to everyone who come along to make it such a fantastic evening,” said co-organiser John Thatcher, who is a Burnham Parkinson’s sufferer.

Parkinson’s Awareness Week runs from 7-13 April. More details are available here.
