-

A busy Burnham-On-Sea road was closed on Saturday (April 19th) following a crash involving a bike and a car.

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following the accident in Queen’s Drive near the junction with Edithmead Lane shortly before 9am.

Inspector Rob Pearson of Avon and Somerset Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Police were called to a collision involving a bike and a car at 8.45am.”

“A 47 year-old male motorcyclist was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.”

Police shut the route in both directions, leading to queues of Easter holiday traffic. The road was fully re-opened by 10.15am.
