Hundreds of homes were left without electricity in Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday (October 15th) following a power cut.

Western Power Distribution told Burnham-On-Sea.com that 365 homes had been without supplies following the cut, which began at 11am.

“Most customers were re-connected within a few minutes following the high voltage overhead line fault but a small number were off for over an hour,” said a spokeswoman, who apologised for the inconvenience to customers.

Several of the company’s vehicles were seen in fields next to Love Lane on Wednesday afternoon repairing the power line fault, as pictured below.
