Burnham-On-Sea Camera Club announces photographer of the year

-

Burnham-On-Sea Camera Club has this week announced the winner of its photographer of the year award.

Paul Ware has scooped the top annual award for accumulating the highest number of points from the club’s monthly competitions.

The club’s Chairman, Mike Barnard, is pictured presenting the coveted shield to the winner at the club’s latest meeting. Paul said he was delighted to have won.

Burnham-On-Sea Camera Club, in its present form, has been in existence for five years. It is open to anyone interested in photography, whatever their level of skill or the medium they use.

Nearly all members use digital media, although a few still use traditional darkroom techniques. Several members have gained major distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.

The club meets every Tuesday, from 7pm to 9pm, in the BAY Centre at Cassis Close (TA8 1NN), where there is ample free parking with disabled access.

From the beginning of September through to mid-July the club runs a full programme. Meetings take a variety of forms, with visiting speakers, regular competitions, practical evenings, and members sharing their interests and skills.
