Notice served on firms at Highbridge business park to be demolished

-

Six months notice has been served on firms at a Highbridge business park which is to be demolished later this year to make way for over 60 new homes.

We first reported last year that members of Sedgemoor District Council’s Development Control Committee had approved the re-development of Morland Industrial Park for 62 affordable homes, leading to concerns that the existing firms based there could have to lay off staff.

Toni Hammick from Property Link told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Six months notice was served this week and a meeting has been held with the tenants to discuss their relocation requirements. Options have been provided, resulting in some of the tenants having found suitable relocation premises.”

“This is an ongoing process which will continue during the notice period and it is hoped that we can find relocation sites for all the tenants who require assistance.”
