Six community groups in Burnham-On-Sea share £700 cash injection

Six groups in the Burnham-On-Sea have this week shared a £700 cash injection from the town’s Moose International Lodge.

It follows the organisation’s recent ‘jazz and chips’ fundraising event, held at Burnham’s Princess Theatre.

Organiser Terry Cornelius presented the funds to Moose Welfare (£125), Ladies Circle Welfare (£125), Sounds and voices talking newspaper (£250), Friends of the Princess (£100), BOSH theatre group (£50), BEES – Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society (£50).

Terry said: “Roger Wells’ Dixie Hotshots did us proud at our Jazz and Chips night and we are pleased to support some very deserving causes.”

Moose International is a fraternal organization based on family values that raises money for charities and provides support to each other.
