Missing schoolgirl Jessica Buttigieg is found safe and well, say police

-

A schoolgirl who went missing earlier this week has been safe and found after a four-day search.

Jessica Buttigieg, 15, of Locking in Weston, failed to return home after school on Tuesday, prompting an appeal for help to residents across the area, including Burnham, as we reported.

A police spokesman said on Friday evening: “We can confirm that missing 15-year-old Jessica Buttigieg has been found safe and well.”

“She was found in the Weston-super-Mare area. We would like to thank members of the public and media for their help to find Jessica.”

The last sighting of her had been as she got off a school bus between 3 and 4pm on Tuesday 25th November in Locking Village. She was found safe and well on Friday evening.
