Drivers face delays after TWO caravans overturn on M5 at Burnham

-

Drivers have been experiencing queues on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday following TWO incidents involving overturned caravans.

One lane was shut on the M5 northbound between junction 22 at Burnham-On-Sea and junction 21 for Weston at around 2pm. The crash saw a caravan overturn and debris strewn across the carriageway.

A second incident, again involving an overturned caravan, blocked two lanes of the southbound carriageway along the same stretch of the M5 at 4.30pm.

Police put in place speed restrictions while recovery services were on scene, causing queues to build up. No-one was believed to have been seriously hurt in the incidents.
