A crash caused disruption to motorists on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea on Monday morning (October 6th).

The northbound carriageway was temporarily closed between junctions 22 and 21 after the two-car collision.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene shortly after 10.30am.

Crews removed a large quantity of undergrowth from one car which had left the carriageway and they escorted a casualty to a waiting ambulance. There were not understood to be any serious injuries.
