Highbridge resident Linda Smart – who is fighting an aggressive form of Breast Cancer – has raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer by holding a head shave.

£440 was handed over to the charity’s Somerset fund-raising manager, Genevieve Drinkwater, on Tuesday 2nd December at the Coopers Arms pub in Highbridge.

Genevieve said: “Linda’s fund-raising achievement in such a short space of time is fantastic! Without people like Linda we wouldn’t be able to offer the support to others affected by cancer.”

“Whether through our nurses, our grants or our financial support for example, we need to make sure that no one faces cancer alone, but we can’t do it on our own.”
