Burnham-On-Sea’s RNLI lifeboat station will be holding an open day this Sunday (July 27th) when visitors will be able to find out more about their work.

A number of activities and demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day from 10am-4pm, including a lifeboat launch and a fundraising boat pull.

The event starts at the station in Burnham’s Pier Street and will be followed at 10.30am by a call-out of the D-Class lifeboat in a launch demonstration.

Then at 1pm, the crewmembers will be holding a lifeboat and land rover pull from Burnham jetty along The Esplanade and through the High Street before finishing at the station.

During the day there will be a photo competition with a TV as a prize and displays will include the RNLI Flood Team LandRover, RNLI Beach Lifeguards, plus Welly Wanging with a prize of a wakeboarding lesson, a tombola and raffle, a Stormy Stan throwing game, a cake sale and refreshments.
