Burnham-On-Sea Police are seeking witnesses to an attempted theft from a supermarket in the town.

Officers were called to Lidl in Burnham’s Oxford Street at 11.30am last Friday (7th November).

“A woman had taken several items and would not stop for staff. A member of staff did manage to get the items from her and was allegedly abused,” police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Police enquries are continuing and we would ask anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident to get in contact with Police at Bridgwater by calling 101.”
