Free Internet advice sessions are to be held at Burnham-On-Sea’s Octopus Children’s Centre later this month.

Sedgemoor Digital Link is arranging the free sessions to run every Wednesday from April 30th from 1pm-3pm.

The group will be offering help with using the Web for job searching, learning new computer skills, finding training opportunities as well as registering for welfare benefits and paying bills online.

Spokeswoman Sam Taylor told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “As more and more services become ‘digital’, a basic knowledge of IT is really important.”

Sedgemoor District Council is being supported by EDF Energy on this project. For more information call the North Sedgemoor Children’s Centre Cluster on 01278-780665.

If you have good IT Skills and are able to volunteer contact Somerset You Can Do on 01278 664180.

Sedgemoor Link Partners include Sedgemoor District Council; Homes in Sedgemoor; Department of Work and Pensions; Somerset You Can Do; Somerset County Council Children’s Centre’s and Bridgwater and District Credit Union.
