Halloween events preview: What’s on in the Burnham-On-Sea area?

Families across the Burnham-On-Sea area will be celebrating Halloween with a series of spooky events over the coming days…

Friday:

Lakeside Holiday Park’s popular Halloween party is taking place on Friday 31st October from 6.30pm-11pm. There will be two hours of children’s entertainment with party dances, competitions, games and mini disco between 7pm – 9pm, followed by entertainment at 9.30pm with a female solo vocalist, then a late disco. Entry is £1 per person on the door and fancy dress is welcome.


Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll is holding a free Halloween children’s fun afternoon on Friday October 31st from 12pm – 4pm. It’s time to dig out your most spooktacular scary costumes and join in the family fun. A fancy dress competition will start at 3pm.


Burnham’s Railway Inn in College Street will be holding a Halloween Party on Friday October 31st from 11am – 1am. In the afternoon there will be kids face painting, balloons, games and apple bobbing. In the evening there will be adults’ cocktails, a fancy dress contest, free shots for those in fancy dress and a ‘deadly disco’ until 1am.


A children’s party night is being held at The Princess Theatre with prizes for most ghoulish family, pumpkin carving competition and games. Disco and games by Big Mac & Cheese Event. Friday 31st October – 6pm till 8pm. Price £4 per child, adults free but all children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets available here.


Charity fundraiser Keith Mitchell will be holding a spooky display of Halloween lights on Friday 31st October outside his home in Winchester Road, Burnham from 5.30pm-9:00pm.


West Huntspill Railway is holding an evening of scary night time train rides on Friday October 31st from 6-8pm at just £1 per ride. Come along for a Halloween treat!


Burnham’s Farmers Market in the High Street will have a Halloween theme on Friday October 31st with pumpkins and squashes on sale from 9am-1pm.

Saturday:


A Halloween Zombie Walk is set to be held in fancy dress and ghoulish make-up, meeting at Burnham’s Marine Cove gardens on the seafront at 5pm on Saturday November 1st. The event will be free of charge and will be open to older children and adults.

Sunday:


Join a Baby Halloween Party at Burnham’s Ritz Social Club in Victoria Street on Sunday November 2nd. If you have a baby (particularly those born in the 2013-14 school year) and live in the Burnham, Highbridge or surrounding area, you’re invited between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.


A Halloween face painting and photo shoot session will be held at the Bay Centre in Burnham on from 2pm -5pm on Sunday 2nd November. The event is totally free and the organisers are encouraging bookings via 01278 786559 to arrange a time slot.
