Highbridge teenager in training for Triathlon World Championships

-

A Highbridge student is training hard to secure a place in an international triathlon competition later this year.

Frances Palmer, 18, is studying for a coaching and fitness diploma at Bridgwater College and is currently training twice a day to try and qualify for the Triathlon Sprint Age Group World Championships in Edmonton, Canada.

Toby Dean, Programme Manager at the College, said: “Frances has worked fantastically throughout her time at Bridgwater College, and has displayed a conscientious approach to her studies. Her organisation skills are also exceptional, and all of the teaching team wish her the very best in her forthcoming competitions.”

Frances, a former pupil of the Kings of Wessex Academy, has received conditional offers to study Strength Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage at Cardiff Metropolitan University and Sports Psychology at Bournemouth University.
