Charity urges residents to share their love of wildlife on Valentine’s Day

-

The team at Secret World Wildlife Rescue near Burnham-On-Sea are asking local people to share their love for animals this Valentine’s Day.

The charity, based at East Huntspill, is offering adoptions of rescued animals.

“We hope this Valentines Day people who love wildlife will adopt a fox, badger, otter or owl,” animal carer Marie Denston told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“There is often heartbreak when dealing with animals as not every story has a happy ending.”

“Many people have little understanding about the suffering of wildlife which has been recently affected by the floods and we hope this Valentine’s Day people will consider adoptions.”

These swans are among the animals rescued in recent weeks. One of the animal casualties that came in over the weekend was a starling that was so hungry it got itself trapped inside a bird feeder.
