Miniature village unveiled by Burnham-On-Sea Dolls House Group

-

A unique annual exhibition showcasing the work of a group of Burnham-On-Sea dolls house makers has opened in the town this week.

A miniature replica of a rural village has been created by members of Burnham Dolls House Group and is now on show in the window of Material Needs in Burnham High Street until the end of October.

“The miniature village, called Lindon, has been put together by eight members over the past seven months and it shows a whole range of tiny buildings, people and their contents,” the group’s Brenda Woolley told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The homes were designed to a 1:24 scale using a variety of materials and then decorated using acrylic paint and other materials.

Brenda added: “A lot of work goes into creating the display and we’re very grateful for all the positive feedback.”

Burnham Dolls House Group has been running for over eight years and is open to newcomers. It meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month in Highbridge Community Hall from 7-9pm.
