A group of local cubs near Burnham-On-Sea has received a safety boost thanks to the financial help of a local firm.

Members of 1st Berrow Cubs have been given new high visibility jackets donated by Trevor and Paul of TJ Dyer Electrical Services.

“The jackets are greatly valued by the group and will be used on many occasions to safeguard the youngsters whilst away from base, both for safety and also for easy recognition at crowded venues,” said a spokesman.

Berrow Cubs is a flourishing and expanding pack who meet weekly during school term time in the village.

“Quite apart from the fun of weekly meetings, and the expansion of life skills, the cubs take part in may other activities and outings. They will soon be taking part in a sponsored walk, walking to support both their own funds and those of Petal, a locally based charity. The highlight of the pack year will be camp in May/June.”
