Road re-opens after motorist is injured in two-car collision in Berrow

-

A woman was taken to hospital after being injured in a two-car collision in Berrow last night (Monday).

Fire, police and ambulance crews rushed to Parsonage Road at 10.04pm following the serious two-car crash, which led to police closing the road through the village, as pictured here.

“Crews confirmed this was a two-vehicle road traffic collision with one female casualty medically trapped,” said a fire spokesman.

“Fire crews stabilised the vehicle and removed the roof using hydraulic cutting equipment. One female casualty with chest and arm injuries was extricated by fire crews and conveyed to hospital by ambulance.”

Two fire appliances from Burnham, plus an emergency tender and a rescue pump from Weston attended.

The road was closed until early today (Tuesday) to allow recovery of the vehicles.
