Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens hosted a colourful day of Easter family fun on Saturday (April 19th).

The popular event saw a number of Easter-themed activities held in bright sunshine, including an Easter Egg Hunt, craft activities, a raffle plus a parade of Easter bonnets.

Organiser Jacqui Strong told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a great day and we had a steady flow of visitors to the garden throughout the event.”

“The Easter Egg Hunt saw children and their families hunting around the garden for the hidden eggs and our thanks go to Faye at Asda for their donation of chocolate eggs and craft items as prizes.”

“The chance to decorate your own egg head, have your face painted or take part in the Easter Bonnet Parade were all part of the day’s activities and, what’s more, it was all free.”

“To raise funds for the Friends of Marine Cove, refreshments and a raffle were also held. The volunteers and Sedgemoor District Council would like to thank everyone for supporting the event and look forward to seeing you on May Day for Fairy Frolics and Elf Mayhem on Monday 5th May 1pm – 4pm!”
