Burnham photographer snaps Clifton Suspension Bridge celebrations

-

Burnham-On-Sea photographer Mo Hunt was among the tens of thousands of people who attended a spectacular fireworks display in Bristol last night (Sunday) to mark 150 years of the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

The fireworks were part of a two-day celebration for Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s structure, which joins Bristol to Somerset and was designed by the engineer in 1829.

Mo took these super photos of the fireworks and said: “It was a stunning display to mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of the bridge – a really memorably occasion.”

“The area around the bridge was loaded with spectators and the surounding roads were absolutely jam packed, but it was well worth going to see such a spectacular event.”

The crowds also observed a one minute silence for Charlotte Bevan, 30, and her newborn daughter, Zaani Tiana whose bodies were tragically found there last week.
