Brent Knoll Primary School has a new interim head teacher this week.

Karen Davidson stepped down from the role before Easter after eight busy years, as new interim head Chris Burman took up the position.

The outgoing teacher was thanked for her work at the school by pupils, parents and fellow teachers during the school’s Easter service.

“I have been really touched by all the kindness shown to me in my time at Brent Knoll and I leave with many happy memories,” she said.

“I am also really pleased that an excellent head teacher is taking on our little community here.”

New interim head teacher Chris Burman, pictured with Karen, previously taught at Highbridge’s former St John’s School and more recently has been deputy head teacher at Bridgwater College Academy.

He said: “I am delighted to have taken on this role at Brent Knoll – everyone has been so kind and welcoming.”
