Burnham-On-Sea firefighters tackled a blaze in Brean on Wednesday night (October 15th) in which an outbuilding was destroyed.

The fire service received multiple calls from concerned residents just before 11pm reporting the timber outbuilding in Warren Road was well alight.

Two fire appliances and a Landrover from Burnham-On-Sea were joined by crews from Bridgwater and Weston at the incident in Warren Road.

“Crews found an outbuilding, possibly used as a summerhouse, well alight, measuring 3mx6m and used a hose reel jet to extinguish with the fire extinguished at around 11.30pm,” said a spokesman.

The cause for the fire is believed to be accidental, added the spokesman.
