Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Beer Festival is set to make a welcome return to the town this coming weekend.

Now in its third year, the four-day event will be held at the Ritz Social Club in Burnham’s Victoria Street over the whole May Bank Holiday weekend.

The festival opens at 6pm on Friday 2nd May and will then be open from 11am each day all weekend on Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th and Monday 5th.

“This year’s festival features a fabulous array of mainly local real ales, including such gems as Yeovil Ales Stargazer, Quantock Ales Wills Neck and Royal Stag and back by popular demand will be last year’s favourite, Glastonbury Ales’ Love Monkey,” spokesman Mike Barsby told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The event will also several great local live music acts on stage at regular intervals though the weekend. There will be Rustique on Friday night, Six Machine on Saturday night, Talk Show Hosts on Sunday night and Rustique and friends will round off the event on Monday afternoon.

“The 2014 festival has an even bigger choice of ales and for the first time one brewery will win Burnham’s best beer of the festival award, as voted for by festival visitors,” added Mike.

“A beer tasting and voting card will be handed out to everyone on arrival. Admission will be completely free.”
