Community-spirited pupils at Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s School have helped two good causes in recent days.

On Wednesday (October 1st), the pupils attended St Andrew’s Church for their annual Harvest Festival service.

Each child brought along a food donation to be given to the Highbridge and Burnham Foodbank for local people in need.

Separately, the children were given a bag to bring unwanted clothing to be recycled, which raised £114 for local charity BIBIC.

“The parents have been very generous in supporting both these worthy causes and there has been ‘bags of help’ all round,” said Head Teacher Gavin Morris.
