Mild weather created ideal conditions for dozens of athletes competing in Burnham-On-Sea’s Spring aquathlon on Sunday (March 30th).

The popular event, organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy, comprised of a 250 metre swim at Burnham Pool followed by a 2.5km run along the seafront while the children completed a shorter ‘splash and dash’ event.

Organiser Martin Rogers told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a great success and thanked all those who had turned out to support the event.

“We had a record turnout and a very high standard of entry in both the childrens and adults events. The weather was perfect for racing, which made it a fantastic morning of racing. Thanks should go to all the volunteer marshals and officials which made the event run smoothly,” he said.

The results for the Splash and Dash event are available here while the aquathlon results are here.
