A fitness project that rewards people who lose weight with money for local community projects in Highbridge has launched new aerobics classes this week.

The Pound 4 Pound Community Project re-started last month at Highbridge’s Morland Hall.

For every pound that participants lose over a 12-week period, £1 will go straight back into community projects.

The Pound 4 Pound Community Project has introduced an aerobics and body conditioning class for a small cost of £2 every Friday morning from 9.30am-10.15am.

The class is open to everyone who is completing the Pound 4 Pound Challenge, however, Kelly Burne, Team Leader of the project said: “I am happy for people to bring along a friend if they would like to. It all helps raise money for Morland Hall. The more, the merrier!”

The project is a collaboration between Sedgemoor Community Partnership, Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and 1610 Sports Centre and is aimed at promoting healthy and active lifestyles and weight loss. For more details, call 07827 647856 or email info@morlandhall.org.uk
