Burnham Police appeal for witnesses to A38 incident in West Huntspill

-

Burnham-On-Sea Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident near Highbridge earlier this month.

It occurred on the A38 in West Huntspill on Saturday August 2nd between 7 and 7.30pm.

Police say an old-style blue coloured Vauxhall Astra overtook a blue Peugeot 307 estate.

The overtaking action forced a yellow Fiat travelling in the opposite direction to take evasive action to avoid a head-on collision and brake suddenly.

No-one is thought to have been injured and the yellow car continued with its journey.

“We are, however, keen to hear from the driver of the yellow car, whom we believe has useful information to help our enquiries,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Two men, aged 21 and 27 years, have been arrested in connection with the incident. They have been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.”

If you are able to help, contact Taunton CID on the force number 101. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
