Gales and heavy rain could create more flooding in the Burnham-On-Sea area this week, the Met Office has warned.
A ‘yellow warning’ has been issued for heavy rain and strong winds today (Tuesday) as the latest stormy conditions sweep in.
“Further rain will spread northeastwards across South West England early on Tuesday, becoming heavy and persistent in places before clearing again,” says the Met Office.
“Rainfall totals are likely to be variable, with up to 20mm falling widely. Given saturated ground, the public should be aware that further localised flooding and disruption to travel is likely.”
