Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens will be marking National Story Telling Week with a special event in February.
The Friends of Marine Cove, with the support of Sedgemoor District Council, will be hosting a story telling day on Saturday 2nd February from 10am-3pm.
Children’s entertainer Adrian Beckingham will be reading stories in a tepee and local schools are being approached to invite young story writers and readers to come forward and use the opportunity to share their talent.
“We have also had a positive response from volunteers who would like to read during the day. We are, however, still keen to hear from anyone who has written something and would like to share it with a small group,” said Jacqui Strong, Marine Cove Community Gardener. “You do not have to stay all day. There will also be refreshments available to buy.”
