There was ‘snow’ stopping this group of fundraisers on Sunday (January 20th) when a charity table-top sale went ahead despite the wintry weather outside.

A steady stream of visitors ensured the sale at the BAY Centre in Cassis Close was hailed a success after raising over £70. The event was held to raise cash for the BAY Centre and Burnham Disabled Swimming Club.

A large number of stallholders will be selling a wide range of items, from clothing to artwork.

Organiser Mike Lang, who is Vice Chairman of the BAY Centre, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Despite the low temperatures we decided to press ahead, and experienced a steady flow of visitors, making the exercise worthwhile for most of our table holders. The refreshments were popular, as was the tombola. Many thanks to all those who helped, and of course the customers.”

A further similar sale is being planned for March and in the meantime the BAY Centre will continue raising funds towards its roof replacement.
