BARB
crews help Coastguards in search for missing Burnham man

Volunteers
from Burnham rescue charity BARB helped Coastguards conduct a
search of the town's beach and riverbanks on Tuesday (December
8th) in a bid to find a missing man.
Swansea
Coastguards called on the help of a dozen BARB crewmembers at
2.20pm to assist the hunt for the 54-year-old local man, amid
concern that he may have ventured out along the coastline.
"We
conducted a search along the River Brue, the area around Apex
Park and along local beaches with local Coastguards until the
police announced the man had been found at a property in the town,"
said a BARB spokesman. "We were happy to help."
The
man was later taken to hospital after a stand-off at a property
in Rectory Road, as reported
here.
