Oh dear, what can the matter be? Highbridge man released from lavatory

An embarrassed man who locked himself in a lavatory at his Highbridge home was released by a Burnham-On-Sea fire crew on Friday morning (August 8th).

One fire engine from Burnham was sent to Wessex House in Highbridge at 10.24am - as pictured here - after residents reported the man had got trapped inside.

Fire spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "On arrival, the crews confirmed that the gentleman was stuck in the toilet and released him unharmed using small tools."

In a separate incident, a child was released from a locked vehicle shortly after 11am this morning outside The Old School House in East Huntspill. A Burnham fire crew was sent to the scene.

Mr Slavin added: "On arrival, the crew confirmed that the AA was also at the scene and the service helped release the child unharmed by smashing a small rear window."
