Chart toppers McFly in secret filming session on Berrow beach
Chart-topping
boy band McFly made a secret visit to Berrow Beach on Wednesday
(August 6th) to film the group's latest music video.
The
multi-million selling band used the beach for the background to
their new video, which is based around the theme of Mad Max.
Sedgemoor
District Council organised the filming session, but staff were
sworn to secrecy to avoid any disruption from fans.
Bristol-based
production company Collision Films had picked the location, which
has been used several times in recent years for filming.
Sedgemoor
District Council's property manager, Tim Mander, who set up the
agreement, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "This is another plus
for both Berrow Beach and Sedgemoor as a whole and illustrates
that with help and co-operation, film companies are being encouraged
to keep returning to Berrow, which is perceived as a first class
film location."
The
filming by McFly went on throughout the day and finished at 10.30pm
last night.
