Young
Burnham-On-Sea chefs receive awards after Rotary contest
Two
young
local chefs who won Burnham-On-Sea Rotary
Club's Young Chef Of The Year competition were presented their
awards on Thursday night (February 21st).
Natalie
Peeke and Kelly Linthorne received a trophy and certificate from
Rotary President Colin Durston in a special ceremony at Brent
Knoll's Battleborough Grange Hotel, having won the competition
last November.
Seven
students from King Alfred School aged 14-16 competed in the competition
to prepare a healthy, two-course meal comprising a main course
and a dessert.
The
event, organised locally by Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club, was held
in King Alfred School's Food Technology department.
Both
Natalie and Kelly are now looking forward to competing in the
district finals of the Rotary
Club Young Chef Of The Year competition in Wincanton on March
1st.
