Air
ambulance flies injured boy to hospital from Burnham
A
three-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital from Burnham-On-Sea
on Saturday afternoon (May 10th) after suffering a serious foot
injury.
The
toddler was stabilised at the scene by paramedics, but due to
the nature of his injuries, caused by a garden accident, it was
decided that the quickest way to transport him to hospital was
by helicopter.
Since
Somerset's air ambulance was already in use elsewhere, the red
Devon air ambulance pictured here was called to the scene at around
1.30pm to fly him to Frenchay hospital in Bristol.
Eyewitnesses
told Burnham-On-Sea.com the helicopter briefly landed at Burnham
and Berrow golf course before taking off with the casualty onboard
a short time later.
