Mark crash victim is named
A 27-year-old man arrested in connection with a fatal collision
in the village of Mark near Burnham-On-Sea has been released on
bail. The man, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death
by dangerous driving, is due to answer bail in July, police have

COASTGUARDS from Burnham-On-Sea were called to Brean on Saturday
(May 30th) after the beachwarden found an 'explosive object' washed

Couple run in memory of son
A LOCAL couple will be running the Bristol 10K this weekend in
memory of their son who died prematurely. Ryan and Natasha Bird
are fundraising for Sands, a charity that offers support to bereaved

to his rescue after he got into difficulty in the sea on Monday.

Burglars sought after break-in
BURGLARS smashed their way into a town centre shop in Burnham-On-Sea
during the early hours of Saturday morning (May 23rd). Police
have issued an appeal for witnesses following the incident at
Scott's Furnishings in Victoria Street at around 12.15am. The

Bee swarm creates a buzz!
BEEKEEPERS were called to collect a large swarm of bees after
they landed in Burnham-On-Sea town centre during the town's Food
Festival on Saturday (May 23rd). The swarm of thousands of bees
gathered on a scaffolding rig at the rear of Saxons estate agents.
Mud scare on Brean beach
A FRESH warning about beach safety has been issued
after beachwardens were called to help this person in mud at Brean
on Sunday (May 24th). The teenager appeared to get into difficulty
about a quarter of a mile from the shore at around 3pm.

Delays after lorry accident
TRAFFIC on the M5 motorway between Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater
was reduced to a crawl for several hours on Monday (May 18th)
after an accident. One lane was closed on the southbound carriageway

Drama tells Charley's story

POLICE were called to a two-car collision in Burnham-On-Sea's
town centre on Thursday evening (May 14th). A VW Golf and a Peugeot

COASTGUARDS and hovercrafts from Burnham-On-Sea were called to
Weston beach on Tuesday evening (May 12th) after two windsurfers
