We have an exciting opportunity for a Food & Beverage Manager to manage a fantastic, friendly team here at Fyne Court. You’ll work front of house and behind the scenes leading the catering team to deliver outstanding customer service, while ensuring that high standards of food preparation and health and safety procedures are at the heart of everything we produce. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

From keeping visitors happy on a busy Sunday afternoon to helping out with a planned event and everything in between, you’ll accomplish it all with confidence, keeping a calm head under pressure. It’ll be up to you to make key decisions, and put the right resources in place to impress our customers.

We're looking for someone who has the drive and vision to develop our offer and make our Courtyard tea-room an essential part of any visit to Fyne Court. You’ll help to develop our catering team ensuring that staff and volunteers have the training and support they need to excel. You’ll also work to help maximise income and work with other staff members to link catering with the National Trust’s charitable purpose. There is also the potential to develop Fyne Court's Catering business into a year-round offer and we need someone with passion to help achieve this.

You’ll combine your catering expertise with your experience of managing a food outlet, to lead our catering front and back house teams effectively. You'll ensure all our food and beverage products are served and displayed effectively to achieve stretching financial targets and maximise income and profitability.

As an experienced Catering Manager you know everything there is to know about great catering. We’re looking for someone who is/has:

Excellent customer service attitude
The drive and vision to develop our unique offer by working collaboratively with other members of the property
Excellent communication skills
An inspirational team leader
Cost control, margins and budget management knowledge
Strong team ethic, willing to help out and get stuck in
Experience working in a high pressured catering environment

Volunteer Sales Assistants would assist in the daily running of shop in Burnham-On-Sea which would include replenishment of stock and merchandising, and till. Suitable volunteers do not need experience as training will be given. Ideally a morning or afternoon a week, the shop is open 7 days a week and therefore days could be found to suit applicants.

Volunteer Fundraising staff would help with various campaigns throughout the year, which could include Ride for Ryder, Christmas fundraising, volunteer campaigns, stock generation campaigns and fundraising in general. This position is very flexible and could be carried out at home subject to approval. Training and guidance will be given and would work closely with shop manager. This would suit and enthusiastic, organised person.
