A historic structure built between 1911-1914, it is one of the UK's oldest illuminated seaside piers and was the first concrete structure of its kind in Europe. Today it has kept all the Edwardian features and charm enhanced with more up to date facilities.

The Pavilion is one of few places to eat outside along the seafront. Come along and enjoy a meal under the custom built parasols. Heaters keep the chill out on cooler days or in the evening.

There is a wide choice of food on offer and where possible local products are sourced. Enjoy tasty Fish and Chips - the fish batter is made using Rich's Farmhouse Cider. The Burgers are made especially by P&B Pyne (North Petherton), choose from either 100% beef or Pork and Apple. Cheddar Cheese is used for the Cheeseburgers.

For lighter meals there is a selection of fresh baguettes, using home cooked ham, local free-range eggs, dolphin friendly tuna, or cheddar cheese.

Fresh dairy ice cream is also on offer, Candy Floss - this is the only place locally to make it fresh, and a whole range of own label gifts and fairings. Teas, coffees and Hot Chocolate are available as well as a Smoothie Bar. Fresh fruit Smoothies are made to order with additional boosters for health, well being, energy, extra vitamins etc.

Also outside are the giant Italian-made rides, the giraffe and rocking horse as well as smaller rides.

Inside houses a large selection of cranes with all the latest licensed toys, penny falls machines and other entertainments for the family as well as prize bingo with payouts of up to £1,000.

There are also two sections of the arcade which are restricted to over 18s only - one contains roulette machines where you can win up to £500 cash on a single spin, and the other houses fruit machines with payouts of up to £500 cash.

During the summer months, the Pier Pavilion also features an award-winning flower display not to be missed.
