Coastguards help injured walker on Brean Down
Burnham-On-Sea
Coastguards were called to Brean Down on Saturday (May 10th) to
help a walker who had suffered a suspected broken ankle in a fall.
The team rushed to Brean Down Fort at 1.30pm after the lady, aged
in her 60s, was reported to be in a lot of pain.
"She slipped and fell, badly twisting her ankle and leaving
it possibly broken," said Burnham Coastguard officer Steve
Bird.
"We
were quickly on scene and took her to the A&E ward at Weston
hospital for treatment."
