More than 90 anglers took part in the four hour contest on August 14 and although they were disappointed to catch just five fish throughout the whole afternoon, they were delighted to have raised a total of £1,027 for BARB. The event, which was set up by Weston Outcasts, was won by Neil Trolley (shown in the above photograph on the right) with a 5lb conger eel. He is pictured alongside BARB Hon Secretary Peter Charles and the chairman of Weston Outcasts, Andy Stephens. Peter Charles said: "It's been a brilliant day. These fishermen have done a superb job in raising a significant amount for BARB which will go a long way to help keep the Burnham hovercraft running. We're very grateful to the Weston Outcasts for all their support."
