Hundreds
of pounds was raised for a Burnham-On-Sea charity when dozens
of motorbikers took part in a fundraising cycle ride on Sunday
(May 10th).
A
total of 55 bikers from across the South West took part in the
110 mile tour of Somerset, which began at Highbridge's Bristol
Bridge Inn, as pictured below.
The
riders travelled through Bridgwater, North Petherton, Ilminster,
Shepton Mallet, Wells, Cheddar and Weston-super-Mare, before finishing
on Burnham's Esplanade.
A
total of £284 was raised for BARB, the charity that operates
Burnham's two life-saving rescue hovercrafts and an inshore rescue
boat.
"The
weather was superb and everyone had a great day," said organiser
Norman Templeman. "We were delighted to have bikers taking
part from across the South West, including Bristol and Exeter."
