BARB on Friday evening (May 11th). Graham Turner joined

Burnham-On-Sea's rescue hovercraft station on Saturday (March
31st). She met volunteers from the charity and had a tour
of the seafront station, which she built in just 72 hours

into a Christmas wonderland featuring thousands of fairy
lights have collected over £5,000 for two local charities.
The residents of Trinity Close have presented the proceeds

Christmas boost by supermarket giant Asda. Eight months
of fundraising at the Highbridge store has raised £2,087
for Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB), which is one of its

received donations from the town Mayor. Cllr Michael Clarke
handed out cheques for £107 each to the Highbridge

at Berrow Primary School enjoyed a special visit by Burnham's
rescue hovercraft and its crew this week. BARB was invited

motorcyclists in fancy dress costumes roared through Highbridge
on Sunday (October 30th) at the start of a sponsored 35-mile

hovercraft charity BARB has this week warned that vital
minutes could be wasted in reaching beach rescues because
of council delays in repainting double yellow lines outside
its seafront station. Parts of Burnham's South Esplanade
were resurfaced in late September, but the council has still
not repainted double yellow lines across the front of the

of pounds for the charity that runs the town's two life-saving
rescue hovercrafts by holding a fundraising fair. The Towans
